I liked Mare's ABC Ode to Babydoll and did one for our little one...
August 24, 2007, 2:17am, 7 lbs. 14 oz.
Bridgett. We spell it with dbl. “t” because more girly and still Irish, but no “e” because we didn’t want French.
Cousins. 22 on my side, 17 on Brady side… and they keep a comin’!
Dada. The first word she said and to her it is a synonym to joy.
Early. She was due on 9-8-07, but came 2 weeks early. Glad for that.
First. I was delighted to have a girl first—seems to make family closeness more likely.
Gidget. Her official nick-name. Our little cheerful beach girl. My sisters and I loved watching those movies. While I was pregnant she was called “Goldilocks.”
Happy. People don’t believe me that she has ever frowned. People at church have fun watching her work to make people smile.
Independent. She is great playing with others or just by herself.
Jigglin' moves. At church today, she danced to each song.
Kiss. She picked that lip-smack up while young and loves to get them.
Leona. This was picked up from her G-ma Johnson’s middle name. A sweet, cheerful, loving, and giggly grandma.
McKe. Her grandma’s nick-name. She gets LOTS of attention when this side gets together.
Non-stop. She loves to use the walker toy, lap after lap.
Oh boy. That is what our dog, Scout, thinks when she comes to give loves.
Personable. Surely would win a “Most Friendly” award wherever she is.
Quiet. Something she isn’t when she starts her growls and laughs.
Rings. Our little one already loves jewelry. She isn’t too picky though.
Share. She loves this concept when Dada is eating.
Tough. Wow, it takes a lot to make her cry. When she does...it's quick.
Under covers. She instantly covers herself if someone will play peek-a-boo.
Very good. We joke that we are only going to get tough kids now because she’s so good.
Wish. She is even better than we would have wished for.
eXcitement. If this is around during sleep time, she easily forgets any grumpiness.
Yapper. She is holding deep conversations now… in her own language.
Zzzz. She still catches lots of those. 12 hrs. at night, 4 ½ hours in day. At least.
